French Roulette

French Roulette is the version of roulette which goes back the further in time since this game was believed to have been designed by a French mathematician – Blaise Pascal – and originally introduced in France in the late 1790’s. French Roulette offers standard bets as well as Announce bets which while the rules remain the same, bear their original appellations in the French language.

The various bets available in French Roulette are as follows:
Plein – Straight Up
Cheval – Split Bet
Transversale Pleine – Street Bet
Carré – Corner Bet
Transversale de Quatre – Four Bet
Transversale Simple – Line Bet
Colonne – Column Bet
Douzaine – Dozen Bet
Rouge/Noir – Red/Black
Pair/Impair – Even/Odd
Manque (1-18)/Passe (19-36) – Low/High

French Roulette also offers several options for Announce Bets which include:

Voisins du Zero – This bet is placed with either one or two chips on the section around the zero. 1 chip bets are placed on splits 4/7, 12/15, 18/21, 19/22, 32/35 while two chips bets are placed on 0/2/3, 25/26/28/29.

Tiers du Cylindre – This bet uses six chips which are placed on splits opposite to the zero such as 5/8, 10/11, 13/16, 23/24, 27/30 and 33/36.

Orphelins en Plein – One chip is placed on each of the orphan numbers between the two above mentioned sections, that is 1, 6, 9, 14, 17, 20, 31, 34.

Orphelins à Cheval – Here again chips are placed on the orphan numbers between the Voisins and the Tiers which include 1, 6/9, 14/17, 17/20, 31/34.

Jeu 7/9 – Bets are placed on all numbers ending in 7, 8 and 9.

Jeu 0 – Bets are placed on a series of numbers surrounding the zero, that is 0/3, 12/15, 26, 32/35.

Finales en Plein 0 – Bets are placed on all numbers ending in Zero, 0, 10, 20 and 30.

The rule is the same for all Finales bets which go from 0 to 9; Finales en Plein 1, Finales en Plein 2, Finales en Plein 3 and so on.

Finales à Cheval 0/1 – Bets are placed on all numbers ending in 0 and 1 such as 0/1, 10/11, 20/21, 30, 31.

Other Finales Bets options are: Finales à Cheval 1/2, Finales à Cheval 2/3, 3/4, 4/5, 5/6, 6/7, 7/8, 8/9, 9/10 which all work according to the same principle. Further Finales Bets encompass Finales à Cheval 0/3, 1/4, 2/5, 3/6, 4/7, 5/8, 6/9, 7/10, 8/11 and 9/12.
